How to Get Involved
PAWS is always excited when young people want to help out and get involved! There are a couple of volunteer opportunities for 10 year olds and up but most volunteering starts at age 13. Minors always volunteer directly with a parent or other supervising adult. Please see the Cat Care Training Page, Dog Care Training Page, or Dog Adoption Helper Page for more information.
There is always a need for students to host collection drives at their school or work on projects as individuals, Boy or Girl Scouts, 4-H, etc. For more information, contact Lisa and see the What PAWS Needs link on the left.
Interested in gaining community service hours at PAWS? Check out our PAWS Youth Volunteers page. Please keep in mind that we require a minimum of 30 hours of service per year to volunteer, so youth seeking community service hours are not an appropriate fit for PAWS volunteering.
