The rare male calico

Male cats with both orange and black coloring are extremely rare. They are also almost always sterile. This is because in order for them to have both orange and the black in their coats, they must have all or part of both female X chromosomes.

Happy Ending Message 1 from Frankie This is Frankie. We adopted him in 2005 and he has adjusted very well. He had terrible separation anxiety when we first got him but we worked through it. Frankie enjoys barking and growling at everything that moves and that makes him an excellent watchdog. He is always looking out of the front window. He is smart, funny and lovable. Frankie is a tremendous joy and I love him to pieces. He is "mommy's boy".
