Happy Ending Message 1 from Maddy



Maddy Hi! My name is Maya, but my family sometimes calls me Maya Bear or Puprikins. I was adopted the day after Thanksgiving 2005. I am full of energy and have a fun-loving character. I may look like a beagle and black lab mix but if you take me out in the field you'll find I also have pointer in me. My owners live on a farm in the Endless Mountains and boy, do I love it there! I am a true farm dog, and enjoy chasing cows, running with four wheelers, and jumping on hay bales. Sometimes I have so much fun outside that when I come back in the house, I fall asleep standing up! It is quite the funny sight.
 
My favorite things are running outside, sleeping on the couch, and a good bone to chew. I am very smart and can open kitchen cabinet doors if my owners aren't too careful! Some mornings I open the bedroom door and jump into my parent's bed to let them know I am ready to start the day. I love a good cuddle and bring my family a lot of joy with my sense of humor. I am great around other dogs and my owners hope they can get me a brother or sister someday soon.
