Tapeworms do not make good pets!
Cats can get tapeworms from eating infected fleas or mice. Because of this, it's a good idea to prase your cat for mouse catching, but do not allow the cat to eat the mouse. Tapeworms will live inside an animal indefinitely until the animal receives deworming medication.
