Bergy
Bergy's bio at the time of adoption: This male 1.5 year old husky loves affection! Bergy is an energetic dog, but he is calmer then most huskies of the same age. He has not been exposed to children, but Bergy has such a wonderful disposition, we think he will be fine with children old enough to know how to behave around a dog (8 -10 years or older). We do not recommend a home with a cat given his breed. Bergy is housetrained & has been crated in the past. If you give him a blanket & a kong with frozen peanut butter, he should be good in the crate for quite a while! (Put the peanut butter in a kong, & then freeze it until solid). When Bergy is bored, he can be mischevious, so it's a good idea to keep him occupied! He still has a lot of puppy in him, so he will get into things when left alone. (Sometimes he will chew the remote). So we do recommend crating Bergy when no one is home until he outgrows this behavior. Bergy likes to sleep beside his people's bed at night. He lived in a home with a 5 foot fenced yard, & he never tried to escape from the fenced area. Bergy is living in a foster home. ADOPTED 1/10/09

Bones
Bones's bio at the time of adoption: Bones arrived at PAWS on 8/3/08 and is still looking for his special person. Please come out and see Bones - is he the right dog for you? We would really like to see Bones get a forever or foster home for the holidays. He is even our poster pooch for our "Home for the Holidays" drive. Even is he might not be right for your household, do you know of someone who might be perfect for Bones? If so, please show them his write up and tell them about our boy!
This 3 year old male shepherd mix will steal your heart! Bones has lived with children of all ages & he is great with them. However, Bones is strong and energetic, so we'll only place him in a home without children or in a home with older, teenage children. Bones is housetrained & crate trained! He loves toys of any kind and is especially fond of his daily peanut butter Kong at PAWS. Bones would very much prefer a home without dogs as he is generally afraid of them. Cats aren't his favorite either. He would rather spend all of his time with people. Bones is looking for a person with considerable dog experience who is willing to spend time exercising him and continuing his training. His new owner will need to take Bones to training which is already pre-paid by a generous donor. Click on his picture to see another pose. FINALLY ADOPTED 12/30/09

Shadow
Shadow's bio at the time of adoption: Shadow is a 2yr old german shepherd/grayhound mix. He is a little shy first but then becomes super affectionate when he gets to know you. Shadow already knows a few commands, loves to go on car rides, and is house trained. Shadow is currently in a foster home living with older children. His foster family reports that he is skittish about noises in the house- for example, he does not like the hair dryer. He walks very well on a leash, but constantly looks back trying to figure out why his humans are not going any faster. He loves to play with toys and is great at catching tennis balls! Shadow barks to get attention or when he needs to go out. Click on his picture to see another pose. ADOPTED 1/23/09
