Angel's bio at the time of adoption: This 7-year old female purebred cocker spaniel is very docile & a bit of a couch potato! Angel needs a new home because her owner died. Angel loves stuffed toys! Angel is good with other dogs! She will chase cats in a non-aggressive way. Angel has been exposed to children on walks & is stand-off-ish. She prefers to be the one approaching the child (rather than the child approaching her). We think Angel would do fine in a home with children 14 years or older. Angel rides well in a car! Angel is housetrained. She has never been crated. Zippy (also available for adoption) is her son. ADOPTED 3/30/08

Angelina
Angelina's bio at the time of adoption: This friendly & outgoing black lab mix needs a new home because her owner is very ill & can no longer care for her! Don't let Angelina's grey muzzle fool you! She is energetic & loves to go for walks! She is also very well behaved! She knows 'sit'! Angelina is good with other dogs. She will chase a cat, but in a non-aggressive way. Angel has been exposed to children 10 years & older & she is fine with them! Angelina is housetrained. Angelina is about 7-8 years old & is spayed. Ari
Ari's bio at the time of adoption: This 1 year old male black lab/golden retriever mix is still very much a puppy! Ari loves toys & to play catch! He is a very loving dog, although new people scare him at first. (Ari has submissive urination when he meets a new person). He is wonderful with other dogs! He just wants to play with them! Ari has also been exposed to children as young as 3 years of age, & he is fine with them! Ari hasn't been exposed to cats, although we suspect he would want to play. Ari is housetrained & cratetrained! Ari is still very much a puppy & will chew soft things like socks that are left out. Ari is living in a kennel & needs a home! Athena
Athena's bio at the time of adoption: Athena is a lovely 8-12 month old whippet mix looking for her active forever family. She is as sweet as she can possibly be and gets along with men, women and older children. she is probably too active for toddlers and very young kids. She plays very nicely with people and dogs (all ages and size) and has no food or toy aggression issues. She knows how to sit, play fetch, and tug. She is crate trained and most probably housetrained (no accidents in her foster home). She walks well on a lead, but can pull when there is something exciting to explore. She also rides very well in a crate in the car, but can get a little queasy at first. She can bark, but she doesn't seem to bark at the door or people coming and going. She can be a little shy when she first meets you, but once she warms up, she is your best pal. Athena would do very well in a home with another dog. Cats are unknown at this time. Being a young sighthound, Athena will need an active home with plenty of play, walks or another pup to play with her! She will probably be around 15 lbs when full grown. Her picture is coming soon! Baxter
Baxter's bio at the time of adoption: This 1-year old male border collie/lab mix is a very friendly dog! Baxter is full of energy, so he needs a home that can give him the exercise he needs! He has been around 3 & 4 year old children. While he is friendly, he is rambunctious, and somewhat undersocialized, so he would do best in a home where all members of the family are experienced dog handlers. Baxter spent most of his life in a crate before PAWS took him. We were told that Baxter loves other dogs. However, as a result of being crated all the time in the past, he is overly excited around them now. As he has time to socialize with the people at PAWS and with everyone who comes to meet him, this behavior may disappear. Also, he has shown some initial signs of food aggression in the kennel. This behavior may disappear as he is socialized. We don't know how Baxter is with cats. When Baxter is playing, he will growl -- but he is just playing. He is also afraid of some men with hats. Baxter is housetrained, but he will need some reinforcement. Baxter is crate trained & neutered! He is a mid-sized dog, weighing about 45-50 lbs. Baxter is living in a kennel & needs a home! Bear
Bear's bio at the time of adoption: 
A Lonely Hearts Club Dog
This 6-year old small black lab is great with everyone! Bear loves to be with people! He is excellent with children of all ages! He is good with cats & dogs that are smaller than he is. He loves to play ball or to just hang out with his person! Bear knows 'sit' & 'shake'! He walks easily on a leash & rides well in a car! Bear is housetrained. He will bark if he is left alone outside. Also, he can be destructive if left alone in the house, however he can not be crated. So Bear needs a home in which someone is always home. Beatrice
Beatrice's bio at the time of adoption: This 2.5 year old female golden mix is very loving! Beatrice is a very nice dog! Don't let her calm demeanor fool you though -- she is very exuberant & energetic! So she needs lots of exercise! Beatrice is good with other dogs, but we don't know how she is with cats. She has not been around children. She is very mouthy --which many retrievers are. However, she can get rough, and so she would need some training on softening her mouth. Because of this & her exuberance, she would be most appropriate for a home without young children (under 8 years). Beatrice is already housetrained & spayed. Beatrice is living in a kennel & needs a home! ADOPTED 5/6/08

Bernard
Bernard's bio at the time of adoption: This little white teacup poodle is a lapdog! Bernard was rescued (with the other little poodles that are available for adoption through PAWS) when his owner suddenly died. All of these little poodles are older. They are timid when you approach them. However, each one of them loves to be held! They appear to be partially housetrained. Because they are older, they will not be placed into homes with younger children (under 12). Bernard is the white poodle in the picture. Andre is behind him. ADOPTED 4/4/08

Bingo's bio at the time of adoption: Bingo is a 10.5 week old male purebred pitbull pup! Bingo is adorable! He is in a foster home with children, & he is doing wonderful! However, Biingo is a little more nippy than most puppies his age, so we do not recommend a home with toddlers or infants. We will place Bingo in a qualified home with no cats or other male dogs. Blizzard
Blizzard's bio at the time of adoption: This snow-white Australian Cattledog is very intelligent & well-behaved! Blizzard is also extremely affectionate! (He likes to sleep in his person's bed under the covers, with his head on the pillow!) He is friendly with adults & mature children (about 10 years of age & older). Blizzard gets along with other dogs, although he is very dominate on the inital meeting. After the first meeting, he loves to play with the other dog! He has lived with a cat in the past, but he would do best in a home without one. Blizzard loves to follow his person around the house -- so he is a wonderful companion! He also loves taking car rides. Blizzard's coat reists dirt & he sheds very little. Blizzard is about 8 years old. He is neutered & housetrained. Buddy's bio at the time of adoption: This 1-year old male beagle mix loves attention! Buddy is excellent with other dogs, cats & children of all ages! He is an active dog, so he would enjoy a family that has the time to play with him & take him for lots of walks! Being a beagle mix, Buddy can not be off-leash when he is outside (unless he's in a fenced yard). Buddy is easy to please! He is used to getting a treat when he goes "potty" outside. Buddy is housetrained & making great progress on cratetraining. Buddy is living in a kennel & needs a home! Buddy will be neutered before he is adopted. Buttercup's bio at the time of adoption: This little senior beagle needs a nice dogbed to hang out on! Buttercup is very sweet! Buttercup is good with other dogs (although she is older & doesn't want another dog in her face). She is fine with cats. She would do fine in a home with children old enough to know how to treat an older dog. Buttercup is housetrained. Buttercup can step up 1 or 2 steps, but she can not climb stairs. She has always lived with Angelina, who also needs a new home. Buttercup & Angelina need a new home because their former owner is very ill & can no longer care for them. Chandler's bio at the time of adoption: This 10-month old male maltese-poodle mix is a living doll! Chandler only weighs about 10 lbs., but he is very energetic! He loves to play! He also loves people! Chandler wants to be with his person -- he needs a home where he can sleep with his person at night & be on their lap whenever they are sitting down! Chippy's bio at the time of adoption: This 4-year old male purebred cocker spaniel is in desperate need of a home because his owner died! Chippy is an active dog who loves his chew toys & blankets! Chippy is good with other dogs! He will chase cats in a non-aggressive way. Chippy has been exposed to children on walks & is stand-off-ish. He prefers to be the one approaching the child (rather than the child approaching him). We think Chippy would do fine in a home with children 14 years or older. Chippy does fine riding in a car! Chippy is housetrained. He has never been crated. Chippy is staying in the kennel; this is the first time he has ever been in a kennel, so he is feeling traumatized. Chippy is neutered. Clay's bio at the time of adoption: This 11-month old handsome pup was found as a stray with his siser, Nickie! He is just so sweet! We think Clay is an Am. Staffordshire terrier mix. He might also be mixed with doberman or greyhound. Clay is a fantastic dog! He is a real lover! Also, Clay is very energetic, as is typical of the breed. But he also loves to just hang out on the couch with his person! Clay is very intelligent & adjusts easily to new situations! Clay is already housetrained & cratetrained, although he may need some reinforcement. He is also doing a lot of puppy biting & will need someone who can work with him on that. Cleveland's bio at the time of adoption: This beautiful 6-month old Siberian husky is full of energy! Cleveland is good with children. Because Cleveland is engaging in a lot of puppy biting, we do not recommend a home with children under 8 years. He hasn't been exposed to other dogs since he left his litter mates 4 months ago. However, most huskies are good with other dogs. Cleveland is making good progress on housetraining, but he still needs some work. He is cratetrained. Gizmo's bio at the time of adoption: This adorable 18-month old male corgi needs a new home! Gizmo is very playful & energetic! He would love a large fenced yard or participating in agility! Gizmo is very friendly once he feels comfortable with you! Gizmo loves people (once he is comfortable with the people he is around). He is good with cats! He plays rough with other dogs & tends to dominate. So we think he would do best as the only dog in the household. Gizmo is skittish around young children. He will also nip at people's legs when he is excited. We think he would do best in a home with children over the age of 12 years. Gizmo is partially housetrained, so his new person will have to work on that with him. He is cratetrained. Gracie Lou's bio at the time of adoption: This 2-3 year old female pug loves to give kisses! Gracie Lou is extremely friendly! She loves to play & is very energetic! Gracie Lou knows 'sit' & 'down', although she doesn't always respond. She loves to play tug of war with stuffed toys! (Then she likes to rip out the stuffing!) She is good with other dogs & cats. Jake's bio at the time of adoption: This gorgeous black lab mix is very loving & playful! Jake has lived with children, is housetrained & cratetrained! He is energetic & also very well behaved! Jake is a big dog; he probably weighs over 80 lbs. Jake walks well on a leash, although he may pull a little. We aren't sure how he is with other dogs. He would probably do best with dogs that are closer in size to him. We do not recommend a home with cats for Jake. Jake is living in a kennel & desperately needs a home! He is already neutered. Joey's bio at the time of adoption: This gentle & loving lab/husky mix desperately needs a home because his family is moving! Joey is wonderful with everyone -- children of all ages, cats & other dogs! Joey is an easy-going dog! He's very laid-back & a bit of a couch potato! Joey doesn't like to be alone for long periods, so he needs a home where someone is home most of the time. Joey is housetrained & cratetrained (the plastic crate works best!). He is terrified of thunderstorms & can be destructive if he is confined during them. His prior family sedated him when they knew a storm was coming. Joey is neutered. Laci's bio at the time of adoption: This 4-year old yorkie is a lapdog! Laci needs a home in which someone is home a lot & who will let her sleep in bed with her person at night! She is not good with children under 12 years. She can be grabby with her food, but if you tell her to "take it nice", she will do so. She does not like being picked up quickly. Laci needs work on housetraining, but with enough attention, she does well. Laci loves to ride in a car! She is good with other dogs! She doesn't like cats. Laci loves sqeeky toys! ADOPTED 1/26/08

Lisa's bio at the time of adoption: This 1 year old husky/shepherd mix is very friendly! Lisa is small -- she only weighs about 35 lbs., although she may gain some weight as she gets a little older. Lisa loves to have her belly rubbed! She was found as a stray, so we don't know much more about her. We think that Lisa is already spayed. ADOPTED 1/17/08

Lucky
Lucky's bio at the time of adoption: This 3-year old lab mix is beautiful! Lucky has lived with a toddler & is excellent with the child! He is good with cats, as well! Lucky also lives with another dog, & does well, although he is the dominant dog (he'll do things like push the other dog off of the bed with his nose). His loves to play, especially tug & fetch! Lucky is housetrained & cratetrained! Lucky does bark when he gets excited. Lucky is white with spotted ears! Because he is so fair, his vet recommended that his person put a little sun lotion on his nose & tips of his ears when he is outside in the sun. Also, he should not be out in the sun for more than 20 minutes. Lucky weighs about 60 lbs. He is already neutered & up-to-date on shots! Click on Lucky's picture to see another photo of him! Lucky the LhasaPoo's bio at the time of adoption: This 8-month old male lhasapoo is very sweet! Lucky is good with other dogs -- he is very playful with them! We don't know how he is with cats. Lucky has been around children as young as 7 years of age, & he is fine with them! Lucky just wants to be loved! He is partially housetrained & is working on cratetraining in his foster home. Lucy's bio at the time of adoption: This 1-2 year old adult female border collie mix is full of energy -- as most border collies are! But she is also an easy-going dog once she is settled in a home! Lucy is a very quick learner! Lucy has been around children as young as 3 or 4, & she does well with them! However, because she is excitable, we think she would do better in a home with older children (12 or older). She is good with other dogs that are submissive, but not dogs that will stand their ground. She does not like cats. Lucy is housetrained & cratetrained, although she needs reinforcement on the housetraining. Lucy will dig in the yard if her energies aren't properly channeled. Mandy's bio at the time of adoption: This poor little shepherd mix desperately needs a home! Mandy is 10-11 years old & she has been living in a kennel for over 2 months! She just needs a home to hang out in! Mandy is homeless because her family divorced & was no longer able to keep her. Mandy is housetrained & cratetrained! She lived with cats & was fine with them! We don't know how she is with other dogs. Mandy is very sweet & friendly! She weighs about 40 lbs, but is a little thin due to the stress of living in a kennel. Mary's bio at the time of adoption: This female shepherd mix is very friendly & outgoing! Mary is 2-4 years old. She rides very well in a car! Mary is very affectionate & loves to be with people! She will sit in your lap if you let her! Mary does not seem to like small dogs, and she probably would not do well with cats. Mary was found as a stray, so we don't know a lot more about her. Paco's bio at the time of adoption: This little male chihuahua only weighs less than 10 lbs.! Paco just loves to be held! He is good with cats. Paco lives with other dogs, but he would rather be the only dog in the family. Paco was abused earlier in his life. Consequently, he doesn't like to be around children. Paco is housetrained & cratetrained, although he is marking in his current home (this is probably due to the presence of the other dogs in the household). Peanut's bio at the time of adoption: This 1-2 year old male beagle is so mild mannered & good tempered! Peanut is excellent with other dogs & cats! He has had exposure to children (including toddlers) & he does very well with them! Peanut is a little shy around men at first, but he takes to women right away! Peanut was originally found as a stray. He stayed in the garage of the people who rescued him, & he never made any housetraining mistakes! He has also been very good at PAWS! So we think that Peanut is housetrained, although he may need some reinforcement when he enters a home. Peanut is gun shy, so he can not be a hunting dog. Petunia's bio at the time of adoption: This small pit bull mix is just the friendliest dog with adults! She is just so very, very sweet! She is gorgeous! Techa's bio at the time of adoption: This 5-year old female corgi-sheltie mix only weighs about 20 lbs.! Techa is good with other dogs! She is good with children, but young children (under 7 years) scare her. We don't know how Techa is with cats. Techa is an easy-going, low-energy dog. However, she is skittish, and would do best in a home without a lot of noise. (She's scared of loud sounds). Techa is housetrained & spayed. Techa can be yippy when people come to the home. Woody's bio at the time of adoption: This adorable little pomeranian/beagle mix loves to play with his toys! Woody also loves attention & to be petted! He is a very friendly fellow! Woody is very good with children -- he recently lived with a 12 & 13 year old children, & has been exposed to children younger than that! He is also good with cats! Woody has lived with other dogs, but sometimes he marks when there is a female dog in the house. When he is around a male dog, he is territorial at first, but then he calms down. Zippy's bio at the time of adoption: This 4-year old male purebred cocker spaniel is in desperate need of a home because his owner died! Zippy is very affectionate! He is also an active dog! Zippy is good with other dogs! He will chase cats in a non-aggressive way. Zippy has been exposed to children on walks & is stand-off-ish. He prefers to be the one approaching the child (rather than the child approaching him). We think Zippy would do fine in a home with children 14 years or older. Zippy loves soft toys & blankets! He rides well in a car! Sometimes Zippy howls when he sleeps. Zippy is housetrained. He has never been crated. Angel is Zippy's mother, & she is also available for adoption. ADOPTED 3/30/08
