Adia Adia's bio at the time of adoption: This rottweiler mix is an absolutely wonderful dog - friendly and energetic! She is spayed and up to date on shots and housebroken. Adia is very athletic and learns quickly. She has great agility would make a fine hiking or running partner. She is also about 1-1/2 years old and weighs 65 pounds. Extremely intelligent, she knows many commands, including sit, roll over, stay, jump and fetch. She gets along well with other dogs, cats and children. A perfect companion.

Amanda Amanda's bio at the time of adoption: This 7-year-old cocker spaniel is very friendly and ready for a family. She is spayed, housebroken and up to date on shots. Despite her age, Amanda is still very active and has a long life ahead of her. She will make a great companion. ADOPTION APPROVED

Amy Amy's bio at the time of adoption: This 10-month-old beagle mix will be spayed and up to date on shots before she is adopted. She is housebroken. She is very affectionate with adults and good with the children in her foster home. Amy is very energetic and will need some training. She is OK with most dogs, but will growl at other alphas. She is not good with cats. Amy is currently staying at Royal Pet Resort in Julian and is being shown by appointment only.

Asha Asha's bio at the time of adoption: This 1-1/2 year old border collie mix is very energetic. She is friendly, great with other dogs and with children, though in her enthusiasm, she may knock small ones over! She is not great with cats, but can learn to co-exist with them. She is up to date on shots, spayed and housebroken. She is crate trained, but has LOTS of energy when she comes out of her crate. Her foster home has a fenced-in yard, which she loves. With a little training, Asha will make a great companion. She is very smart and eager to please.

Bailey Bailey's bio at the time of adoption: See the blur on the right side of the photo? That's the constantly wagging tail of this very happy beagle mix. Bailey is a 2-1/2-year-old spayed female. She is housebroken and up to date on shots. She loves other dogs and cats. She is very playful and always eager to be pet and loved.

Bandit Bandit's bio at the time of adoption: Bandit came in with his brother, Tabasco. He is 7 months old and will be neutered before he is adopted. His mom was a beagle and his dad was a Brittany spaniel. He is great with kids and other dogs, but hasn't been introduced to cats yet. He has some basic obedience training, is housebroken and crate trained. He is fun-loving and smart...and is looking for a home that will be able to keep up with his young boyish energy.

Barney Barney's bio at the time of adoption: We estimate that this Manchester terrier mix is about 4 months old. He is very sweet and friendly. He likes other dogs and seems to be OK with cats, though he's a little frightened by them. He is working on housebreaking and basic puppy skills in his foster home.

Belle Belle's bio at the time of adoption: Yes, she is a pitbull, but don't judge a dog by her cover! Belle is a wonderful, friendly dog who is great with people. She is nervous around other dogs when she first meets them, but loves to play once she knows them. Belle is 1-1/2 years old. She is spayed and up to date on shots. She weighs about 65 pounds. She pulls a little on her leash, but is generally easy to control.

Boris Boris's bio at the time of adoption: This 2-year-old male boxer mix was found travelling in Bellefonte along with Natasha. He is very friendly and loves attention. Brittany Brittany's bio at the time of adoption: Brittany is a one-year-old springer spaniel who is spayed and is up to date on shots. She is a very loving dog who likes to cuddle. She is not as high energy as most springers, though she does enjoy going out to play. She loves other dogs and would probably do best in a home with them. She gets upset when left for long periods of time by herself.

Buddy Buddy's bio at the time of adoption: This 2-year-old neutered male originally came into PAWS as a stray. We believe he is a collie/St. Bernard mix, though he's only about 65 pounds. Buddy is extremely friendly and loving, especially around kids. He likes other dogs, as well. Buddy is up to date on shots, neutered and housebroken. ADOPTION PENDING!

Buddy the Bird Dog Buddy the Bird Dog's bio at the time of adoption: The newest Buddy to our list, this guy is about a year old. He is some sort of Dalmatian or bird dog mix. He is white with grayish colored spots. Buddy is very affectionate and highly trainable. He is neutered and up to date on his shots.

Butch Butch's bio at the time of adoption: This basenji/border collie/terrier mix is quite a character! He's full of energy and personality. Butch is about 2 years old. He gets along with many other dogs, but can be a little bit dominant. He is learning to co-exist with cats, but will still chase them if they run. Butch is learning basic commands such as "sit," "down," "settle," "stay" and "leave it." He is housebroken, crate-trained, up to date on shots and neutered. Butch would love to be the only dog in a home so he could have all the attention for himself, but will consider roommates, as long as there is lots of love to go around. He is good with children. Ideally, Butch will have a fenced in yard at his permanent home, as he tends to run. Otherwise, he would always have to be on a leash or tether outside. ADOPTION PENDING!

Butterscotch Butterscotch's bio at the time of adoption: This two-year-old neutered male golden retriever/yellow lab mix is very friendly. He is good with other dogs and has been around cats. He is up to date on shots. He is working on basic obedience in his foster home. ADOPTION PENDING!

Calvin Calvin's bio at the time of adoption: This three-year-old poodle mix will be neutered before he is adopted. He is good with other dogs, but not good with cats. He seems to like children. Calvin was originally a stray, so we don't know too much about him. We're working on getting him back to a normal weight, as the poor guy was pretty skinny when he came in. ADOPTION PENDING! Charlie Charlie's bio at the time of adoption: Our volunteers all fell in love with this boy when he came in! Charlie is about 6 months old. He's very friendly and affectionate. He's a shepherd/collie/husky mix. He will be up to date and neutered before he is adopted.

Chewy Chewy's bio at the time of adoption: Named after the "Star Wars" character Chewbaca, Chewy likes to talk to you and sounds just like the furry guy in the movie. When Chewy first came to us, she was having a problem with barking. She was living in a home with a young baby. Every time the baby cried, Chewy would bark. Now that she is in a foster home with no small children, we realize that Chewy is actually a pretty quiet girl. She is very friendly and likes to cuddle. She loves other dogs, but is still learning about cats. She is good off leash. She's housebroken, spayed and up to date on shots. ADOPTION APPROVED!

Chili Chili's bio at the time of adoption: This 13-week-old boy is one of Ginger's puppies and is very sweet. He loves other dogs and is good with cats, too. Chili is a bit of a barker when left alone, as he loves to be by your side. He will settle down, however. He has had one round of puppy shots and is working on housebreaking in his foster home.

Chubb Chubb's bio at the time of adoption: This 1-year-old collie/newfoundland mix is the son of Cheyenne. He has been living outdoors and is a little bit frightened of being leashed. He is a quick learner, however, and easy to please. He is very submissive. Chubb needs a foster home.

Daphne Daphne's bio at the time of adoption: These new arrivals are very sweet and won't be ready for adoption until the beginning of February. Mom is a 50-pound shepherd/husky mix. Dad is a 120-pound rottweiler. We expect the puppies will be about 85 pounds. The pups have been dewormed and will have one round of shots before they are adopted.

Dublin Dublin's bio at the time of adoption: This 10-month-old chow/shepherd mix is so beautiful. He's got a long black coat with hints of red and gold mixed in. He is very friendly and loves to put his head in your lap. He likes other dogs... especially Roo, who has been his roommate recently. He is neutered, housebroken and up to date on shots.

Frodo Frodo's bio at the time of adoption: This little guy is the one who will steal your heart. Frodo looks more lab-like than his siblings. He is very sweet and affectionate, though he growls when his siblings play too rough. Frodo is the type of pup who will just lay his head on your lap and look up at you with sad little puppy eyes when you stop petting him. He would be great with children, as he is very gentle. Jakie Jakie's bio at the time of adoption: This 5-year-old Cairn terrier mix would make a great first dog. He's very easy-going, great with other dogs and cats. He's housebroken, though needs a little bit of a refresher since spending time at the kennel. He is neutered and up to date on shots. Jakie likes to play, but will not require as much exercise as a younger terrier. He walks well on a leash, rides well in a car and is a great companion. He does not do well with small children, but should be OK with older kids.

She is also very curious about her surroundings. We expect her to weigh about 75 pounds when full-grown. She is working on housebreaking and basic puppy skills in her foster home. She is good with other dogs and cats, though tries to play with cats.

We're told they are Australian shepherd/collie mixes, though they look like little black fluff balls! Both have had their first round of puppy shots. We're not sure what else she is mixed with, but she's only weighs about 25 pounds. She is very friendly, but not always good with children. Maggie Maggie's bio at the time of adoption: This 11-year-old black cocker spaniel is very sweet. Her owner died and she was left behind at the kennel where she was being boarded.
